Every journey has a signal.

PorchLink finds it first.

Our Origin

“By the time we realized something was wrong, the disease had already progressed. The small shifts in routine were there — they were just easy to miss.”

— Founder, on Abuela Carmen

Small signals, big meaning

What PorchLink Detects

Connection

Fewer interactions with others can signal changes in wellbeing.

Interaction Rhythm

Changes in tapping, swiping, and typing pace can reveal subtle shifts in coordination and response time.

Wake Patterns

Changes in when the day starts can be an early sign of a shifting routine.

Getting Around

Shifts in outings and time away from home can reveal changes in independence.

Movement

Steady declines in movement around the home can quietly signal developing issues.

Overnight Activity

Restlessness or activity at unusual hours often appears before anything else does.

Dignity, not surveillance

Privacy-First Design

PorchLink was built on a simple belief: technology supporting aging at home should never feel like surveillance. Your personal data stays with you.

Data stays on-device
Anonymous patterns
No cameras
No audio recording

How it works

1

Install the app

Your loved one installs PorchLink on their phone. No additional hardware, cameras, or wearables needed.

2

It learns their routine

PorchLink passively senses everyday devices like phones, TVs, and toothbrushes to build a baseline of normal daily patterns.

3

You're notified when things shift

When meaningful changes appear, you receive a gentle notification to check in before situations escalate.

A caring community shows up before anyone has to ask.

Meet the Founder

Hola — I'm Laura Garrison, Founder and CEO of PorchLink. I've spent two decades building technology for the federal government, including health systems at the VA, before turning that experience toward a problem much closer to home.

My grandmother Carmen lived independently in Puerto Rico for many years. Like many families, we didn't recognize her early signs of dementia until the changes were impossible to ignore. The small shifts in her daily routine were there, but they were easy to miss. By the time we knew something was wrong, the disease had already progressed.

That experience stayed with me. I built PorchLink so families never have to wonder if they missed the early signs.

From my family to yours, this is what I wish we had for her. 💜
